Don't say you weren't warned.

“In his first interview as the chairman of the Arkansas Republican Party, Dennis Milligan told a reporter that America needs to be attacked by terrorists so that people will appreciate the work that President Bush has done to protect the country. ‘At the end of the day, I believe fully the president is doing the right thing, and I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on [Sept. 11, 2001],’ Milligan said to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, ‘and the naysayers will come around very quickly to appreciate not only the commitment for President Bush, but the sacrifice that has been made by men and women to protect this country’.”

Could Our Gordon have thought the same?.
The 'attack' on Glasgow Airport is looking more suspicious by the day.

You are just so cynical, I mean you'll be suggesting that our Tone wanted the war to be more popular and Mrs T got the Falklands to win votes....
When of course all our politicians are pure as driven snow.

Can't think of any more profound thoughts, so i'll go back to thinking about sex...

Isn't it the same thing, really?
Ever tried to do something to make someone jealous?
Course you have.
Just manipulation in a different form, for a different reason.
However, correction.
Our Tone lied us into war because he was instructed to.
Simple.

What 'sacrifices' have Bush and Cheney made, except other peoples'?

Incidentally, the quote came from a story by Nafeez Ahmed.

Positively frightening stuff.
The way that our legal process has been subverted should shame us all because we have allowed it.

You are right to question this Merc.
Trouble is that most of us may be able to feel, just maybe, sometimes,a metaphysical guilt.
But we, as folk, are lost souls in this power-elite world.

But you are right I think. We are guilty!

No - we are NOT guilty! WE did not allow it. It was done despite our protests.

We should be very angry.

That Tony lied because it was instructed to is not a doubt for me, as will Brown if he is put to it.

Yes, Anticant, I am at the end of my tether of hearing the media say that we, the people, are ruining the planet, that we approved of wars, when we all know that we have been induced to the former by simply hiding that no information was given at the beginning of it all, and regarding the latter because our political system is eventually nothing less than absolutist.
