Tineal Affection or Affliction?

Just watched Our Gordon's homage to the Land of the Free Market Torturer.

'Alliances can wither or be destroyed, but partnerships of purpose are indestructible. Friendships can be shaken, but our friendship is unshakeable. Treaties can be broken but our partnership is unbreakable.

And I know there is no power on earth than can drive us apart.'

Fingers were right down the throat at that one.

As someone said, yesterday, after watching his meeting with Obama

'I half-expected him to start dry-humping Obama's leg'.

Today was just as embarrassing.

At one point, I thought he was going to burst into song.

Love, love will keep us together
Think of me babe whenever
Some sweet talking girl comes along singing her song
Don't mess around,
You gotta be strong
Just Stop [stop], 'cause I really love You
Stop [stop], I'll be thinking of you
Look in my heart and let love keep us together

You, You belong to me now
Ain't gonna set you free now
When those girls start hanging around talking me down
Hear with your heart and you won't hear a sound
Just Stop [stop], 'cause I really love you
Stop [stop], I'll be thinking of you
Look in my heart and let love keep us together, what ever.

Young and beautiful
Someday your looks will be gone
When the others turn you off
Who'll be turning you on

I will, I will, I will, I will
Be there to share forever
Love will keep us together
Said it before and I'll say it again while others pretend
I'll need you now and I'll need you then
Stop 'cause I really love Ya
Stop I'll be thinking of Ya
Look in my heart and let love keep us together

'Who will save us from the Clunking Fister?', said Obama

Reading that song, Merkin, the thought came to me of stories about wives and mistresses.

Which will Gordon Brown love best: Britain or America? A heart divided between two is not strong for either.

What "partnership of purpose" do the UK and the US share? 'Liberal interventionism'? Spreading democracy by cluster bomb followed by economic exploitation?

As under Queen Victoria's empire, "trade follows the flag".

Well put, Jose - I may use that one as well!!

AntiCant, the 'partnership of purpose' is the quest for a one World government.
No more, no less.

At last you guys get it !
What is needed is a global trades union that really acts .....

It was always that way. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

I no longer sustain the idea that Democracy exists. It's only in the books, in the Media, but not a tinge in the hearts of our politicians.

On reflection it may exist in our homes, not all of them I'd add.

I am certainly with Jose on that one.

Ye Gods, Merkin, that Captain and Tennille clip really shucked off the years. She was a bit like Karen Carpenter - not such a great voice, but a better haircut.

Loved the bit about Gordo dry humping Obama's leg. I only managed to keep my lunch down because I hadn't had any.

A truly classic song must be said.
However, I will always get a vision of Gordon being a naughty puppy with Obama whenever I hear it.

"Love Will Keep Us Together" was written and first performed by Neil Sedaka. My favourite Captain & Tennille number is her own "Do That To Me One More Time".

My problem nowadays is finding someone to do it to me the first time......

Anticant, no cottaging on this site.
There are quite enough undesireables passing through here as it is.

PS If you want to add to the Craig Murray thread on The Torture Committee then please visit

'Cottaging', Merkin? Whatever do you mean?

And who is more undesirable on this site than your unco'guidself?

One must set the standard, no?

It is some weeks since (18 iii 09] and I hope it is clear that, from Obama's viewpoint, this is a load of wind & piss. He (O) is a continentalist and no North Atlantean.
