A 'good day to bury bad news' was 9/11, at least through the eyes of the government, I am sure.
Yesterday was a good day to release the De Menezes report, which slammed the Met, because the Minneapolis Bridge Disaster was a convenient fig leaf.
We know government manipulates the news with the willing help of MSM.
Sometimes the MSM needs to do no more than just ignore a story.
Here is a perfect example.
On 17th of July, Dubbya signed yet another executive order.
'The Executive Order entitled "Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq" provides the President with the authority to confiscate the assets of "certain persons" who oppose the US led war in Iraq:
In substance, under this executive order, opposing the war becomes an illegal act. '"I have issued an Executive Order blocking property of persons determined to have committed, or to pose a significant risk of committing, an act or acts of violence that have the purpose or effect of threatening the peace or stability of Iraq or the Government of Iraq or undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq or to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people."
(That it mentions 'act or acts of violence' is neither here nor there, because we know any word can mean anything to these Humpty Dumpty Desperados.)
How soon before The Clunking Fist makes it official here too?
As we have seen, the right of Birdwatchers and Brass Rubbing Enthusiasts to disagree with the Brown Junta has already been eroded.
So, what is in store for those of us who also abhor violence and the Great Oil Grab?
As usual, we will follow the American lead.

for an important part of his evidence has relied on a supposed,
"Secret Pentagon Report, " from June, to back up his thesis. On the

An explicit white racist, white supremacist/nationalist. WTF, is a
leftist like Lindorff using as "proof" a raving Nazi? Additional
"corroboration" Lindorff uses are the TBRNews (website of Neo-Fascist

Maybe better for you to read it on the White House Website?
Unless, of course, you are saying that the White House Website is also neo-nazi in character.
Then again, you may be right.

NO !! We must Not follow ' the American lead.
Ever.
What the hell is happening to us ?
Have we the real answers to de Menezes ?
No ? Do we really care ?
As for the bridge ,well I gather that belatedly.'they' are checking bridges in the UK.
Again.....do we really care ?
Think about it.
I do.
SO - do you ?
And if so......what are we going to DO ABOUT IT ?
BUT, you know what
I am more concerned with the new out- break of foot and mouth..you do realise how much this will cost us - well, OK, those of us who have to pay tax........and just how did it get in AGAIN ???
Global economy giving way to global dictatorship. It has all the ingredients for this to be so.
The good news seems to be that unions are gathering strength in the US. Something to be taken into account to counterbalance adverse forces.
Too little, too late, Jose.
Interesting thought I noticed in my daily reading: the foot-and-mouth outbreak might not be accidental. Paranoid? Yet more fertile ground for conspiracy theorists?
Well Anti, I had similar thoughts.
We see it more and more as a means of news management.
And there would be similarities with the anthrax 'scares' in America - where the anthrax is known to have come from a particular government lab.
Incidentally, it is no longer a 'mark of shame' to be called a conspiracy theorist.
I am more of a cock-up theorist than a conspiracy theorist, but there is usually a grain of truth in paranoia. I have a lovely poster of three little kittens peeping out of a drawer saying "We're not paranoid, we just don't trust anybody."
"it is no longer a 'mark of shame' to be called a conspiracy theorist."
Indeed - I think its actually safer (within reason) to follow such a line of questioning that not to do so.

Thanx shutters, more grist for the mill
No conspiracy theory is admissible, just those with the economic clout must behave as they do because their aims are the same, therefore their means must be the same, too. It is just a question of convenience.
In a nutshell, Jose.
